| Sadly, I need to find a loving home for my wonderful dog
Holly due to a move out of the country in a few weeks. Holly was just 6
years old in May. She is a black standard poodle and weighs between 55-60 lbs
and is trim and in good shape. She has lived in the same home since she was a
puppy and is a very well behaved dog. She has had obedience training and knows
a lot of commands and english words. She loves riding in cars and going out and
doing things with her person. She is in good health but did have bloat when she
was 4. Her stomach was tacked so it will not happen again and she had no
permanent damage from it. Holly loves to cuddle at night in bed and also on the couch when watching TV. She is a lover and a kisser and will wash your face right off sometimes if you have been gone a long time! She is very sensitive to feelings and if you are angry or sad she comes over and tries to give you kisses to help. Holly lives on a lot of love and is very loyal. She often has a sense of humor and will start peekaboo games around the corners of buildings and do other things to tease you into playing. She needs a fenced in yard since she can stray if out alone and she doesnt know boundries. In a new home she is liable to get lost and try to find her old home. She doesnt have a sense about cars and vehicles being dangerous. She also can jump like a gazel so a fence at least 5 feet would be a must. Holly is sensitive to outside noise since she lives in a very quiet place with no traffic. She is a good watchdog and will let you know if an intruder is near and he doesnt bark at home except when alerting you but can get pretty noisy when excited. She had a number of bad experiences with older larger dogs when she was a puppy at daycare and has a fear of other dogs. She would be best suited as an only dog and she has not been exposed to young children or cats so an adult home is necessary. She isn't a dog you can just leave home and forget about until you have time, she needs and thrives on a lot of interaction with people and a lot of love. She has been my best friend and companion for 6 years. Please contact me at robert.h.oneil@gmail.com |
