while being bathed with our state of the art equipment. We use quality shampoos
for your pets' coat and skin care. If your pet has a particular coat or skin
problem, please discuss it with us prior to grooming. We carry many veterinary
therapeutic shampoos and conditioners to address problem coats. Pricing ~ Call us for pricing guidelines. Our prices are set by breed and according to the work involved for that particular grooming appointment. Our prices will be adjusted for dogs with matted and poor coats as well as for dogs that are difficult to handle. The FURminator process is a two phase treatment.
1. After the shampoo, the FURminator lotion is massaged into the dog's coat and skin for 15 minutes. The lotion opens up hair follicles and loosens the hairs that are ready to shed out at that time. The dog is then rinsed and completely dried with a forced air dryer at the tub and then high volume air dryers in his or her crate. The forced air dryer is a wonderful grooming tool which loosens and blows out a great deal of hair.
2. When the dog is completely dried, a FURminator shedding tool is used to pull even more fine undercoat during the final brush-out.
This shed-out system is combined with a regular grooming service to speed up the shedding process, allowing us to harvest more of the hair that is ready to shed at the salon so your house stays cleaner. We suggest a treatment every 4 to 6 weeks during shedding season to most effectively control shedding, but even one session will improve the shedding problem. We use Bio-Groom flea shampoo, an product we can trust to be effective. A generous amount of shampoo is applied to a dry coat so the fleas do not have a chance to escape in the bath. Then is is worked into the coat and soaks for 15 minutes to be sure every insect is effected. |

Client education is important to us and your dog. We welcome any opportunity to help guide you in grooming maintenance for your dog. We carry grooming supplies for you to use at home between visits so your dog always looks and feels his or her best. A great way to spend time with your pet is to make him feel good with the attention he receives during a brushing.
